Carlsbad Fire Department Foundation
The City of Carlsbad Fire Department is a full-service all risk fire department that prides itself on its strong partnership with the community and high service levels. Through the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the Fire Department, and the support of council members and the community, the city continues to be a safe community to live, work and play.
The City of Carlsbad is a financially healthy forty-two square mile city located in northern coastal San Diego County. The Department serves a resident population of approximately 110,000 and a business population of approximately 30,000. Carlsbad is a major tourist destination with beaches, lagoons, commuter airport, rail transportation, several resorts and Legoland. Currently, Carlsbad has one major project in progress: Power plant.
The department currently staffs six fire stations: deploying five type I engines, one truck, three ALS ambulances, three cross-staffed Type IIIs, one cross-staffed Heavy Rescue Unit, and a Duty Battalion Chief, our daily staffing is twenty-five with an all Advanced Life Support delivery system.
