The Carlsbad Fire Department Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity founded by a small group of local citizens in February 2014.
Although only a year old, the Foundation, through the generosity of varied corporate entities and private donors, has supplemented the Fire Departments Budget through the purchase of over $20,000 in materials, equipment and technical training.
The Foundation also established a scholarship program for the vocational and collegiate education of dependents of our firefighters. To date the Foundation has raised $25,000 for the scholarship fund, and has awarded $13,000 in scholarships.
